Nino Spallone nasce a Popoli (Pescara) e studia all'Accademia delle Belle Arti a Roma, si diploma nel 1956 e alla fine degli anni 50, durante una visita a Londra,
decide di rimanere in quella città per continuare la sua carriera di pittore già iniziata in italia.
Dopo varie esperienze, nel 1960, aderisce al movimento astratto internazionale "School of London",
sorto per iniziativa della "New Vision Centre Gallery" e partecipa a numerose mostre collettive, nel 1963 ha la sua prima mostra personale a Londra.
Negli anni seguenti e fino a tutt'oggi, alterna la sua attività
pittorica tra italia e Gran Bretagna pertecipando a numerose collettive in Paesi di diversi continenti ed organizzando parecchie mostre personali con buon successo di critica.
La sua attività artistica è oggi approdata ad un tipo di pittura e di scultura in cui l'elemento astratto è predominante ma sempre ispirato alla realtà, sia essa naturale o riferita al mondo contemporaneo. |

Nino Spallone was born in Popoli (Pescara). After classical studies and University, he decided to attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome where he graduated in 1956. The next year during a visit to London, he decided to remain in Great Britain to further his career as a painter which had already begun in Italy. After many artistic experiences he met Denis Bowen, art critic, painter and director of the New Vision Centre Gallery in London and joined the international abstract movement "School of London". After a number of group shows he had his first one man exhibition at the New Vision Gallery in 1963. Since then he has lived and worked between England and Italy. His painting and sculpture are predominantely abstract, but they are always based on reality, either from nature or to references in the contemporary world.
